eCYBERMISSION at Robotics, Engineering, and Technology Week

The eCYBERMISSION team traveled to Warren, Mich. earlier this week to participate in the Robotics, Engineering, and Technology (RET) Week. More than 2,600 middle and high school students from local Michigan schools attended the event to learn about state of the art technologies. Sponsored by the U.S. Army Tank Automotive, Research and Development Center (TARDEC), students had the opportunity to learn about different careers and opportunities in robotics and engineering.

One of the most popular activites at the event was where students learned about the different robots the Army uses to keep soldiers out of harms way. Students had the chance to interact and operate the robots themselves!

We talked to many different teachers, parents and administrators interested in getting involed in the competition. We also played trivia with a majority of the students at the event to get them excited about Science, Technology, Enginering and Mathematics.

While on the trip, we also had the opportunity to visit with eighth grade eCYBERMISSION participants at St. Joseph School in Lake Orion to help them with researching their projects and become more familiar with the competition.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and we look forward to an increase in participation from Michigan!
