Meet Linda Cline, eCYBERMISSION’s Virtual Judge of the Year for 2011-2012! Linda has volunteered for eCYBERMISSION for the past nine years and has always been a big supporter of our program.
Over the years, Linda has reviewed numerous Mission Folder assignments and has provided encouraging and uplifting comments to the student teams. She also participated as a Regional Judge for the seventh grade during eCYBERMISSION’s Regional Judging Period. Linda enjoys the opportunity to see the creative work of our nation’s future scientists and engineers, and says she would even buy some of their products!
She submitted a thank you letter to us that we would like to share with everyone:
Thank you for this very special honor. I have worked with children in this age group for about 35 years. It has always given me great satisfaction to see how our youth’s minds work, particularly when given a challenge.
It amazes me, especially over the past nine years, how much our children have grown intellectually. Most of the eCYBERMISSION submissions have shown ingenuity, but this year the depth that some of these teams have reached and the use of technology and imagination, are fantastic. I enjoyed reading all of the submissions that I was given. If some of them get patented and produced, I plan on being there in-line to purchase one. As a civilian for the Army, it thrills me to know that some of you may decide to use this creativity to design future systems to help keep our warfighters safe. Keep up the great work as you proceed on your life’s journey!
Again, thank you for this award. Thank you to the eCYBERMISSION Team for allowing me to be a judge, and to the teams for some absolutely wonderful submissions. As they say in the Army – HOOAH!
We have much gratitude for all of our Volunteers and Virtual Judges. We thank YOU, Linda, for your encouragement to the students and supporting the program year after year!
