eCYBERMISSION: First Two Days in New Orleans!
Just a couple of weeks ago, eCYBERMISSION was at the first National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Area Conference in snowy Hartford, Conn.; this week, we’re enjoying the sunny south in New Orleans, La., at the second NSTA Area Conference of the year!
So far, we’ve finished two days at the conference and we’ve met many great science educators from across the region who are excited about the eCYBERMISSION Program, including teachers and science and engineering coordinators from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and more! On day one, we gave a presentation on eCYBERMISSION to conference attendees who were eager to learn more about the competition and get their students participating. We were very excited to meet a teacher from right here in New Orleans who is currently registering all of her ninth grade students, who are eager to begin their projects. With only one month left to register for this year’s competition, teachers and students are getting their teams together before the Dec. 16 deadline approaches!
While in the area, eCYBERMISSION also stopped by the Lafourche Parish in Lockport, La., and Warren Easton High School in New Orleans to meet with teachers and students to increase participation in Louisiana schools this year!
If you’re in the New Orleans area tomorrow, visit eCYBERMISSION at booth 435 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. We’ll be there from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. CST to chat with you about the program. You can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook for live news and updates!
