eCYBERMISSION Ambassador Completes Over 100 Hours of Volunteer Service

Gregory Farbanish has been a dedicated eCYBERMISSION Ambassador since the program’s inception nine years ago, and this past competition year was no exception as he continued to show his support by logging over 100 hours of service.

Farbanish, a project leader for the ammunitions packaging division of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center in Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., has a love for math and science that keeps him coming back to eCYBERMISSION year after year.

“When you have a program like eCYBERMISSION, you just look at it and say ‘yea that’s something I want to do’,” said Farbanish.

Beyond promotion and supporting eCYBERMISSION, Farbanish has also coached youth football, basketball and rugby teams with students in the same age group as eCYBERMISSION participants. This experience has helped him promote the competition and bring in students with varying interests and skill levels.

“[eCYBERMISSION is] not just for the A students,” said Farbanish, “it’s [for everyone] because it gives them other activities to use their mind.”

eCYBERMISSION is open to students with varying backgrounds, interests and proficiency levels, and with the help of Ambassadors like Mr. Farbanish, more students from across the country are getting the opportunity to learn about the real-life application of science, technology, engineering and math education.

We would like to thank Mr. Farbanish for his continued service to the eCYBERMISSION community and to all of our Ambassadors, CyberGuides, Team Advisors and Virtual Judges for their hard work and dedication.
